Naphtali Rumazimisi

Prof. Sabiti Makara - Board Chair

Naphtali Rumazimisi is a passionate disability rights advocate and seasoned inclusion practitioner currently serving as the Director of Programs. As a visually impaired leader, Naphtali brings lived experience and a strong voice to the forefront of disability advocacy, community empowerment, and inclusive development.

He has previously worked with leading organizations such as the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) and Tag Rugby Trust, where he contributed to inclusive sports, youth leadership, and grassroots disability mobilization. Naphtali is also a former youth leader with Show Abilities Uganda, where he led initiatives aimed at amplifying the voices of youth with disabilities.

Naphtali has represented Uganda in international exchange programs in Denmark, where he engaged in learning and dialogue on global best practices in disability inclusion and rights-based advocacy. His work continues to focus on building inclusive communities, strengthening access to services for persons with disabilities, and ensuring that no one is left behind in Uganda’s development agenda.

With a strong commitment to advocacy, empowerment, and program innovation, Naphtali plays a vital role in shaping and implementing UDAD-U’s national programs.
