Igarure Adrine

Igarure Adrine is a seasoned Human Resource Specialist and experienced Administrator currently working at Makerere University Business School (MUBS). With a strong background in organizational management and human capital development, she offers over a decade of administrative expertise and leadership in higher education and public service.

Adrine also proudly identifies as a person with a low vision disability, and her lived experience fuels her passion for advocating for inclusive workplaces, disability rights, and equal opportunities for everyone. Her work focuses on strengthening institutional systems, promoting disability-inclusive hiring practices, and fostering inclusive environments within academia and beyond.

As a Board Member of Ubuntu Disability Action for Development Uganda (UDAD-U), Adrine plays a vital role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction, governance, and policy advocacy. She brings a unique combination of professional knowledge and disability-inclusive perspective to the board, helping UDAD-U advance its mission of empowering persons with disabilities across Uganda.

Adrine is dedicated to building a society where people with disabilities are fully included in development processes, and where their rights and contributions are recognized and valued.
