About Us | Who we are
Ubuntu Disability Action for Development Uganda (UDADU) is a legally registered, community-rooted Organization for Persons’ Organization (OPD) led by persons with disabilities. Established to advocate for the inclusion, empowerment, and full participation of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Uganda’s development agenda, UDADU operates at the intersection of disability rights, grassroots mobilization, and inclusive policy engagement.
Guided by the principles of dignity, equity, and intersectional justice, UDADU focuses on last-mile and underserved populations, including women, youth, and Indigenous communities with disabilities.
UDADU has earned credibility through its participatory, community-led approaches, constructive engagement with duty bearers, and strategic partnerships with local government, OPD networks, and civil society coalitions. Its leadership comprises persons with lived experience of disability, ensuring authentic representation and grounded advocacy.
